History and description

Stadion Vorskla, in full Stadion Vorskla Oleksiy Butovskyi, opened in 1951. It got built at the site of an old ground that had stood there since 1913.

The stadium could initially hold 7,500 spectators, but as early as 1957 got further expanded, and reached 18,000 places in 1963 following another reconstruction. Finally, in 1968, the stadium could hold 30,000 spectators after a final major reconstruction.
