History and description

Estádio Orlando Scarpelli opened on the 12th of June 1960 with a match between Figueirense and Altético-SC. The stadium was still far from finished though, and it took several more years for the works to get completed.

In the following decades few changes were made until the stadium received several refurbishments in the period between 1999 and 2005.

Getting there

Estádio Orlando Scarpelli is located on the western continental side of the city of Florianópolis, about 3 kilometres from the city centre and central bus terminal, which both lie on the eastern island side.

The stadium can be reached with bus 630 from company Emflotur. Get on the bus at the central bus terminal in the centre (Ticen) and get off at the Rua Coronel Pedro Demoro.
