Just saw Malmo 2-0 v GIF Sundsvall. Tiny team, didn't stand a chance. Away support numbered less than 50. The place to go before the game is Mollevangen. It is a square surrounded by great bars a restaurants filled with the blues and whites of loads of Malmo fans. The place we were at was in the sun, match day menu and all only 20 minute walk from Swedbank. Ignore any Irish bar suggestions. Only place for an Irish theme bar is Dublin, and even that's pushing it.

Went to Malmo yesterday and watched them against Jonkopings Sodra IF. Having watched FC Copenhagen two days before I travel from Danish capital by bus. It takes only 75 minutes to reach Sweden. You can also travel by train which is even faster but I wanted to see the bridge that connects both countries. If you ever travel to Malmo remember that you can not buy a bus ticket neither from the driver nor at the stop. It should not be a problem when you are in the city centre but might be a small concern if you find yourself far away from main station. Tickets are available from some shops but you need to be a magician to find out what shop to go to. Journey from central station takes about half an hour. You get off just outside the old stadium ant Swedbank Stadium lies just behind. Tickets are available on the day but you will have to pay 20 SEK more. Free match day programmes are available. Really loud and nice support throughout the game. Good election of food and drinks inside but there is little to do outside the stadium so it might be wiser to stay in the city centre and arrive just before kick-off.
