Huracan-Estudiantes La Plata was the last game I watched during my trip. Possibly it was the worst one as well. Visitors scored a goal late in the first half and did not really want to play afterwards. they used every chance to delay the game. It was hard to watch. stadium lies a 10 minute walk from metro station, but after the late kick off game( 9pm) some stations were closed so we ended up walking last part of the journey back. Tickets for Huracan are not available unless you are socio, so we made a trip to their office and asked to sign up as socios. They took a picture and produced a card with this picture on it. The cost was 550 pesos and the ticket was another 550( ticket was loaded onto the card). The stadium is old, but I really liked it. The concrete seats look weird, but are not as bad as they look. The weather was very weird as the wind was heavy and there was a lot of massive bugs all over the place. When we got back to the city centre the weather was nice again. Maybe the wind is a part of the team, hence the name Huracan.

The Tomas Duco stadium might look as though it needs a thorough modernisation but in its current decrepit state it still has a certain charm. That said viewing of the games in excellent and how many other stadiums boast a art deco tower?

The ticket arrangements for visitors (not visiting fans) as I write are these. They normally go on sale between Wednesday and Friday between 10:00 and 20:00. They are obtained from the Socios (Members) office and not the stadium. The office which also houses the club shop is opposite Parque Patricios SUBTE station on Av Caseros. The price in 2016-17 was AR$500 per ticket.

This stadium is a landmark in Buenos Aires, for the lovers of football and cinema, just because appears on the movie “el segred de tus ojos” from Campanela and Ricardo Darín. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should see it!

The Tomàs Adolfo Duco has one particularity that other stadiums in the world doesnt have. The particualrity is that you can see very well from every point of the stadium, even it is the cheapest or the most expensive. This is because it`s rounded form.
