I was lucky enough to see a game between River Plate and Independiente so it was a derby match. Tickets for River can only be bought online in specific time frames. Then they have to be picked up from ticket windows no later than a day prior to kick-off. You need an id to buy and pick up the ticket. Our was 950 pesos on long side and it was unreserved( plastic card with your details on it). There were at least 6 check up points before the game. A walk from metro station the day before the match took 20 minutes and the same walk on matchday took twice as long( the area is fenced off for security reasons so we had to walk around). The game was ok and stadium full( people were seating everywhere possible: stairs, rails, walls). There was no support since the main group is banned after the Boca trouble last year. The stadium is old but amazing. Every few minutes you can see a plane landing.
