Estadi Municipal de la Nova Creu Alta
Club: CE Sabadell FC | Opening: 1967 | Capacity: 20,000 seats
History and description
Estadi Municipal de la Nova Creu Alta replaced the old Creu Alta stadium. It officially opened on the 20th of August 1967.
The stadium received several refurbishments over the years, most notably in preparation of the 1992 Olympics, during which it hosted several games of the football tournament.
Estadi Nova Creu Alta is located toward the north-west of the city of Sabadell, about 1.5 kilometres from Sabadell’s historic centre. The walk takes 20 minutes at most.
Sabadell is part of the greater Barcelona area, and can be reached with the FGC commuter trains. Take line S2 from Plaça Catalunya in Barcelona’s city centre. The journey to Sabadell Rambla takes about 40 minutes.
If arriving by car, take the Autopista del Vallés north from Barcelona, and exit at junction12 toward Sabadell centre-nord. Follow for Sabadell and keep straight on the Rambla d’Ibèria. Follow the road with a small twitch toward the right, and go straight ahead at the upcoming roundabout (3rd exit). At the second traffic lights turn left onto the Avinguda del Paraires. The stadium lies right in front of you.
Address: Plaça Olímpia 1, 08206 Sabadell
